Well, 1990’s Justin Timberlake has spoken, and it’s not “gonna be May” anymore – May has arrived, and with it your requisite reminder that Mother’s Day is fast approaching.   Sunday the 14th is the big day, and if you haven’t picked a perfect gift yet, you’re not alone.

We’ve put together some social media shareables so you and your customers can find the perfect gift for the most special woman in everyone’s lives.  Share these up, but remember our Mothers Day marketing tips below.

Mothers Day Marketing Tips

Make it a Special Day for Every Kind of Mom

If you put up a Mother’s Day special, share that love as far and as wide as you can.  If a customer tells you that she isn’t a mom, ask if she has pets.  Furry children are like family as well, and the extra effort can help those fur moms feel special, too.

Remember, Mothers Day is Hard for Some

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a mother around to celebrate Mother’s Day with.  Be sensitive to this in your marketing messages – if you receive any comments saying that Mother’s Day make someone sad, take the time to make a connection, empathize, and make it clear that your Mother’s Day celebration is about all kinds of special women in our lives, not just those who raised us.

Get Personal

We encourage you to share photos and memories of the special mother figures in your own life, and the lives of your staff as well.  Remember, humanizing yourselves will help build a strong relationship with your customers, and that’s a foundation for trust.
